Dad and I are in different walks of life. Today when he finished his riding in EST, I was still getting out of bed in PST. When he's going to bed in EST, I'm still at work in PST. When he wakes up, he goes and rides 40 miles, and then explores the states. When I wake up, I'm only really looking to do more exploring of my inner-eyelids.
Today was a particularly speedy ride, and paired with a detour, dad may as well be being chased by Wile E. Coyote
Best watch out for cliffs. Or don't, and just keep pedaling and never look down. Who needs physics?
I was gong to make a joke about the other "Loony" thing about today, but after racking my brain I came up empty. Let's face it, Ohio's been fairly uneventful. Pretty, maybe a bad turn here and there, but overall pretty easy going. Not like Michigan or, *whispers* North Dakota. *Shudder*. No Anchors dropped, no major cliffs, no TNT, just a lot of roads and a few detours. There's something to be said about peace.

From Dad:
Another detour. It was a quick riding day today. We started early, at 7:05, when it wasn’t all that light yet. I’m glad I wasn’t riding directly into the sun, because it would have been hard to see. But I had set up a noon appointment to get the tires rotated on the car, so we had to get back to Costco in Mayfield Heights. After climbing the hills out of Kirtland and getting to Highway 20, the terrain was pretty flat. For quite a while I was in town traffic. The road was four-lane, but there was no shoulder at all ,just a curb. Stop lights were a constant, so that slowed me down a bit. Finally, I got out of populated areas and got to move along with less interference. 30 miles into the ride, Highway 20 was closed for construction, so had to detour a mile south, go a few miles, then come back to 20 in Ashtabula. Went a little bit farther and ended up in North Kingsville. 44 miles in 3:40.
Then back to Costco to get the tires rotated. After that we tried to get down to a Lake Erie beach in Euclid, but found out it was private. So we went back to Headland Dunes where we stopped yesterday. We waded in the water for a while, and talked to some sister missionaries who are serving in Kirtland, who were there on P-Day.
