"Final day! Mostly level. Was making really good time. Dismounting from my bike at the 15 mile mark, my riding shorts hung up on the seat and I fell off the bike. Landed hard on my back side, and bruised my rear end pretty bad. Now I had a new pain that superceded all the others. It made riding pretty difficult. But I only had 25 miles to finish. At the end of the ride, this 2 mile 6% uphill grade appears! I’m going, “Are you kidding?” So, up I went, then back down the other side, and crossed the river into Idaho. The “Welcome to Idaho” sign was a mile after the river, so I ended up riding an extra mile or so to that point where mom was waiting for me. Took pictures, celebrated, drove to Sandpoint and had lunch, then on to Butte to spend the night."
