I left a pair of jeans and my belt at the hotel in Winthrop, so I sent Linda back while I started riding toward Tonasket. We both arrived at Tonasket about the same time. 25 miles down. Then rode to Woukegon Pass, another 27 miles, with some steep parts interspersed with less difficult stretches. 3500’ altitude gain. Then rode downhill to Republic, 13 more miles. Total miles today: 65 plus. Unfortunately, in trying to move from one campsite to another, didn’t secure the bike well and dropped it off the rack. Bent the rear wheel enough that it rubs on the brakes. Will see if we can get it repaired tomorrow. Made a 2-day camp spot in Colville. If we can get wheel fixed, will back track to Republic and ride down to Colville tomorrow.
