"Covered some good miles today. Picked up where we left off at Mazama Saturday. 25 miles of downhill or flat, mostly, then a 10 mile climb to Loup Loup summit. Strong climb, but very steady, so able to get into a pretty good rhythm. Got pretty tired near the top, so rested frequently. Not as bad as Washington Pass. Rode through a lot of burn area and mud slide—road washout aftermath. Then 18 miles nearly all downhill except for 1 mile-long steep uphill to Okanogan. Rode 5 more miles along fairly flat road to Omak, where we camped. Most miles yet: 61.8."
