"Picked up where we left off yesterday. Rode about 7.5 miles to Hwy 101. Had to climb about 500 feet in 15 miles, so mostly a long, slow grade. Fairly easy in high gear range. At 1000’ altitude dropped a quick 500’ to Lake Crescent. Narrow, windy road for 11 miles. Fortunately, some minor construction put a short section of the road to one way traffic. So cars and trucks (logging trucks) typically passed me in a group, then I had long stretches with no traffic. Stopped for lunch for 45 minutes, with about 16 miles to go to Port Angeles. Mostly downhill or flat except for 1.75 mile hill, and two short steep hills. Ended at the bike shop we visitied yesterday. 54 miles. Back at camp I decided to put slime in my new tube. I did something wrong and ruined the tube. Good thing I have to start out at the bike shop anyway. Maybe I can get them to slime it."
